Today was an enlightening day for the TechTigers. There was no school due to it being Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, but members of the Ely Roboticks [FRC team 408] and South Plantation High School [FRC team 1841] met with members of the TechTiger build team and Mr. Ellich at Sonny's for a collaborative meeting.
1251, 408, and 1841 discussing a design element.
After the meeting with 408 and 1841, the TechTigers presented their completed robot Inventor representation to various Sonny's representatives, for feedback and thoughts about the design and feasibility.
During the discussion, various positives and negatives were pointed out about the design, along with various suggestions and changes made to the design, the major one being in the drive train mechanism.
After the meeting with the Sonny's representatives, the TechTigers set to updating the Inventor robot right away, as well as learning from Mr. Ellich about the autonomous programming and its interaction with the camera.

Definately the coolest time of the day :)
The TechTigers are good to go with the building of the robot once the materials are obtained. Thanks a lot to Dave and Mendez for coming down from UCF for the weekend and staying through today to help out! We will be seeing much of them throughout the season, despite the 8 hour round-trip drive. Also thanks to Drew and Sebastian for their continued support and help to the team. This week was a very productive one for the TechTigers, and we look forward to a season more of the same. Good job, 1251!
Time Left: 5 weeks, 1 day

Is hard to think that it was only day 8 and the whole robot is pretty much designed. I have the feeling we will be doing great. I was a little disaponted because Melissa was the only student member who showed up. This was one of the most important days of the built season. It was the day in which we had to hear from the experts and learn from their experience. Thanks to them a lot of the robot design was reviced. Too bad so many of you missed it.
Nice job 1251! Working with 408 (Ely, RoboTicks) and 1841 (South Plantation) shares needed resources, ideas and helps build stronger communication for all teams...ultimately developing a stronger FIRST community in Broward, S.Fla. & beyond. Keep it up!
Leverage the creativity...many minds are better than one.
Blog looks great - very clear and informative...a useful tool for keeping up with the team's progress.
Can't wait to see that drive system later this week - Mr. B.
