Today was an effective day for the TechTigers. Dave and [Daniel] Mendez, 1251 alumns, came down from UCF to help out the team for the weekend. The robot is almost completely done in Inventor, with only a few modifications left to be added.

Drive train prototype parts have been ordered. Also, the telescoping arm prototype was successfully completed and tested, though there was a problem with the wood extension bracket, a problem that will be solved in the final product with welds.

Representatives from the Blanche Ely Roboticks [FRC team 408] and David Posnack [FRC team 1242] visited the TechTigers today as well. We wish them well this season!
Also, Melissa, Koza, Kenny, and John traveled to Melbourne with FAU AD Henderson's FLL team the Robohawks [one of the FLL teams 1251 mentors] for the Florida FLL states. The competition will take place tomorrow morning at the Florida Institute of Technology. Today was filled with presentation tweaking, practice game sessions, and last minute tips. Be sure to check in later for the competition results. Good luck tomorrow, Robohawks!

All in all, a very good first week for team 1251.
Time Left: 5 weeks, 3 days.
