Wow, what a long and eventful day for the TechTigers. We had our final three qualifying matches and won them, making us the 1st seeded alliance. During the alliance pickings, our team represented by Melissa, we chose teams 1626 and 1758 to join us. In the elimination rounds, we won both our quarter-finals and semi-finals matches, advancing us to the finals against 832, 342, and 1319, where we lost 1-2. It was an intense elimination round and we has some technical difficulties with our robot during the finals rounds, but all in all, we were very pleased with the outcome, as we, along with 1626 and 1758, are the 2007 Palmetto Regional Finalists. We also won the 2007 Palmetto Regional Motorola Quality Award, whcih was very exciting. Tomorrow morning we depart back to South Florida and in less than two weeks [with Spring Break next week! yay!] we depart to Atlanta, Georgia for the 2007 Championship Event.
Team 1251 would like to thank teams 1626 and 1758, as well as our mentors, chaperones, family, friends, and everyone whose helped our team - we know we couldn't do anything without you. Awesome job, 1251!

Day 80: Palmetto Day 1
Today was the first day [the practice day] of the Palmetto Regional in Columbia, SC. Long story short: we uncrated our robot and worked on it, passed the size and weight inspections [final weight: 119.3 lbs.], and participated in three of our four practice matches, capping an average of 6 ringers per match. Tomorrow will be the first day or qualifying matches and the TechTigers are pumped and ready to go. Check back later for updates about our progress!

Day 71
Today was a great day for the TechTigers. Work was done on the scouting prgram, which is coming along nicely, as well as on an updated informational video about our team by the marketing team. We also had Julie Levin from the Sun-Sentinel newspaper stop by and interview our team for an article, which was an exciting oppurtunity. Good job, 1251!

Day 66 - 68
The past few days have been very productive for the TechTigers. We have been working on a prototype for a possible modification to our arm that we are planning on testing on our practice robot in the coming week. We have also been discussing possibly making a new cart, with attached toolchest, for team 86's cart like this came in very handy during the finals rounds at UCF.
Next Saturday is the City of Coconut Creek's 40th Anniversary Parade, which we will be participating in. More details on that in the coming week.
Congratulations to team 247 on their 2nd regional win this year at the Detroit Regional! 247, 11, and ourselves were the regional winners at Palmetto last year, so we are really excited that they have won both the Pittsburgh Regional and the Detroit Regional this year. 1251 looks forward to seeing them at Nationals! Congrats again, 247!

Day 64 and 65
Today was a very effective day for the TechTigers. Today, and yesterday, we had meetings to discuss the events that happened at the UCF Florida Regional last weekend, such as good strategies, things we could or need to improve on, and ideas for ther rest of this year and the future. As this week is our midterm exams, we are not meeting as extensively as normal, but for the most part we are reflecting on the weekend. Keep it up, 1251!

Day 63
Today was a break day for the TechTigers. Our next meeting is scheduled for tomorrow. Today we unpacked the trailer and got the workshop back in order. All in all, a good day for 1251. Below are some of the pictures found on The MARS Team (FRC 1523)'s website. They have a ton of pictures from the UCF regional. Thanks 1523!
